JPB Professional Marketing nominated for Small Business of the Year, announces new location
JPB Professional Marketing (JPB) is thrilled to be nominated for 2022 Small Business of the Year with the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development. The award is designed to recognize awesome customer service, employee benefits and/or community support in local businesses.
“The nomination was anonymous, so knowing that someone out there sees the way we do business and how we engage with the community as worthy of this honor is really humbling. We are very grateful,” said Paig Lamp, co-founder and managing partner of JPB.
Lamp also noted that, because of tremendous growth for JPB in the past year, the business has relocated to 42 N. Main St., Suite B, Mansfield.

Three honored with Mechanics Bank’s James A. Courtney Award
Mechanics Bank is pleased to announce Nicki Brindo, Kayla Krauss and Shirley Pew have been awarded the James A. Courtney Award. The Award is presented to Mechanics employees who best exemplify the company’s mission — “to pursue excellence in every possible way to enrich the lives of people and the communities we serve.” The award is presented on a peer nomination basis.
Brindo began her career at Mechanics in 2014 as a customer service representative and is currently branch manager at the Shelby Office. Krauss joined Mechanics in 2015 as a customer service representative and is now an answer center specialist. Pew started with Mechanics in 1985 as a customer service representative and is currently assistant branch manager at the Lexington office.
The James A. Courtney Award, named for Mechanics’ former president, is the company’s most prestigious recognition of performance. Mechanics Bank is Richland County’s only independent bank with nine locations in Richland County.
New agent at Sluss Realty
Crestline native Stacey Wampler is the newest agent at Sluss Realty. The current Ontario resident is also a long-time teacher at Madison Local Schools in health science technologies and a nurse.
Wampler is also considered one of the most trusted names and highly regarded agents in local real estate, averaging $6.6 million a year and, in one year, once sold 69 homes.
“The memories they make in the house — I get to be a part of making those memories,” she said. “I absolutely love helping people and, in this business, you just never know who you’re going to get to help.”
Haring Realty welcomes new associate
Tyler Amos is the most recent addition to the team of professionals at Haring Realty.
A lifelong resident of Mansfield and graduate of Madison Comprehensive High School, Amos earned an associate degree from The Ohio State University.
“I hold the values of integrity and service close to my heart,” said Amos. “I believe very strongly in helping my clients make decisions that are best for them, not myself.”
Amos has supported community organizations such as 33 Forever and the Humane Society of Richland County. In his spare time, he is an avid runner and recently began volunteer coaching with Madison’s middle and high school cross country teams.
“I am someone who has always valued being of service to others and working to support/improve the community,” Amos added.
Firelands Electric Co-op offers program for middle school students
NEW LONDON — With the end of the first grading period fast approaching, Firelands Electric Cooperative wants to remind students to enter the upcoming drawing for “The A Team,” a program designed to recognize middle school students for their academic excellence. Submissions for the next drawing are due by 4 p.m. on Dec. 10.
Students in grades 6-8 living in a home receiving power from Firelands Electric Cooperative and who have a minimum of three A’s on their most recent report card are eligible to apply. To enter, send a copy of the student’s report card to: Firelands Electric Co-op, Attn: The A Team, PO Box 32, New London, OH 44851. Report cards may also be e-mailed to [email protected].
Be sure to include the following information with your entry: student’s name, school, grade, address, phone number, parents’ name(s), and e-mail address.
All qualifying entries will be placed into a drawing to be held at the conclusion of each grading period. Three students from each grading period will be randomly selected to win an Amazon gift card. Winners will also have their photo published in an upcoming issue of Ohio Cooperative Living magazine, as well as be featured on the co-op’s website and social media.
