Preview: Elite 11 Ohio Regional

The Elite 11 Regional returns to Ohio and Massillon Washington on Saturday. The event will feature top signal callers from the region with a few from outside the Midwest sprinkled in.

Detroit King’s Dante Moore will participate. Moore is a five-star on the 247Sports Composite and the No. 3 quarterback there, No. 4 on 247Sports. He is a top ten overall prospect though who is within striking distance of the No. 1 quarterback spot and could punch his ticket to the Elite 11 Finals here.

North Carolina commit Tad Hudson will come up. He is a big, physically strong four-star who we just had a chance to see at the Under Armour Ohio.

Other 2023s who will look to earn an invite to the finals include Ankeny (Iowa) product JJ Kohl, who is uncommitted, but is considering several Power Five opportunities and is a big-framed passer who impressed last camp season as an underclassman then led his team to the state finals as a junior.

Northwestern commit Aidan Gray and Eastern Michigan commit Drew Viotto are rising seniors who already have made their college decisions and now will look to get to the finals. Warren (Mich.) De La Salle’s Brady Drogosh and Ohio native Broc Lowry are uncommitted but have Power Five and FBS offers they are considering.

There are some other 2023s who are looking to show they belong among the best in the region. Mitchell Bolden and Jacob Winters both are from Ohio and hold FBS offers. Braden Mantooth was the challenge winner at Under Armour. Robert LaLain and Cory Chavis from Michigan and Cameron Swiger from Ohio are other seniors-to-be we will have our eyes on.

The 2024 group will have Top247 prospect CJ Carr and Southfield (Mich.) A&T’s Isaiah Marshall, who both have major college offers, as well as Landon O’Connell, an Ohioan who recently debuted as a three-star in that class.

The top 2025 prospect attending is Findlay (Ohio) native Ryan Montgomery who has several high-major opportunities.
