Patent for local inventors, Ohio Chamber recognition


Area residents are co-inventors for new patent

Step2 Co. of Streetsboro, has been assigned a patent developed by three co-inventors for “rotary molding systems and components thereof.” The co-inventors are Matthew C. Brokaw of Bellville, Eric Jay Miller of Loudonville and Richard Howard Goff Jr., Hartville.

According to the patent, conventional rotary molding systems include a spider that surrounds at least one mold housing and is attached to spindle which is rotated and heated in an oven during a molding process. The inventors created a method to make disassembly of the spider easier.

Local lawmakers named Champions of Business by Ohio Chamber

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Marilyn John (R-Shelby) and Sen. Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) are among more than six dozen lawmakers named as 2021 Champions of Business by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
