Rupali Ganguly, who shot to fame with Anupamaa, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to ANI, the actress joined the ruling party in the presence of Vinod Tawde and Anil Baluni. It has to be noted that the actress decided to join the party on the special occasion of Maharashtra Day (May 1).
Rupali Ganguly joins politics
While joining the political party, Rupali Ganguly said, “When I see this ‘Mahayagya’ of development, I feel that I should also take part in this. I need your blessings and support so that whatever I do, I do it right and good.”
She further said, “I need your blessings and support, so that whatever I do, I do it right and good.”
The Anupamaa actress visited BJP’s Delhi headquarters earlier this morning to join the political party. She is expected to campaign for the party in the remaining five phases of the election. Rupali sought blessings from the almighty and urged fans to support her through her political journey.
For those who’ve come in late, Rupali Ganguly celebrated her birthday last night in Mumbai with her close friends and family members. Her latest announcement indeed left her fans happy and excited.
Rupali Ganguly had earlier participated in the campaign of PM Narendra Modi’s Vocal For Local Initiative. She had also called PM Modi her inspiration.

While having a conversation with India Today, Rupali Ganguly called herself a ‘huge Modi bhakt’. She said, “For me, my Prime Minister is the star, who has helped India reach a new level. Today, I can proudly say I am from Modi ji’s country. He is my hero. When I got the chance to be a part of the cause of ‘vocal for local’, I was thrilled. Just to be associated with something that he believes in so deeply. Also, for him to share the video on his page, I think I just died that day.”
