46 From Football Team Named Academic All-Big Ten Conference – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State football program had 45 of its student-athletes honored with Academic All-Big Ten Conference accolades today as the league released its fall academic teams. This number is a program record, topping the 40 honorees last season.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Ohio State’s honorees include two who have earned the distinction four times: graduated tight end Mitch Rossi, who has a degree in finance, and graduated long snapper Bradley Robinson, who has two degrees already – one in human nutrition and another in human development and family service – and is working on a third bachelor’s degree in exercise science.

Those who have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors three times include: WR Kam Babb, LB Ryan Batsch, LB Cade Kacherski, LB Teradja Mitchell, TE Jeremy Ruckert, DE Tyreke Smith, RB Master Teague, DT Taron Vincent and CB Marcus Williamson.
