Mentor: Mapping The World – Learn About Geospatial Information Systems At Lakeland


Lakeland Community College is offering a free virtual information session for students and community members who are interested in learning more about geospatial information systems (GIS). Geospatial Information Systems

GIS include the mapping technologies that are used to capture, analyze and display information in order to better understand the world. GIS technology is used in business, city planning, education, real estate surveying, environmental research and many more areas. This information session will highlight Lakeland’s GIS program, internships,World GIS Day Celebrations, special presentations andjob opportunities in the field.
