Former Spitzer auto dealership on Park Avenue West sells for $428,000 | Property

MANSFIELD — A Park Avenue West site that was once home to an auto dealer recently sold for $428,000, according to property transfers filed with the Richland County Auditor’s Office.

The property at 744 Park Ave. West was sold by Spitzer Hardware & Supply Co. to Buckeye Investment N.W.O., LLC, which is based in Toledo, according to articles of incorporation filed with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.

Spitzer Motors of Mansfield, which opened the site on Park Avenue West in the 1950s, relocated in 2013 to a larger site at 1777 W. Fourth St. in Ontario.

According to plans filed with the City of Mansfield, plans for the 1.9-acre site include demolition of the building on the site and construction of a new convenience store on the site later this year or early 2022.
