SIOUX CENTER—An 18-year-old Wathill, NE, resident was arrested about 12:05 a.m. Sunday, April 14, near Sioux Center on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — cannabidiol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest of Iyania Watininiga Fox stemmed from the stop of a 2011 Chevrolet Impala on Highway 75 near 370th Street north of Sioux Center, according to the Sioux Center Police Department.
A black vaping device with a white marijuana leaf marking was observed on the seat next to her.
A plastic bag with marijuana was found in the vehicle during a probable cause search, according to the incident report.
