According to news agency ANI, he was later released from custody after a case was filed. The details suggest that Faruqui was charged under the COTPA, or the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.

Ram Charan, who has been married to Upasana Konidela since 2012, revealed in an interview with Masala in 2013 that Upasana feels envious of his intimacy on the screen.

Ram said that Upasana comes from a non-filmy family and it took her some time to understand how things work on the sets. Ram said, “I think she (Upasana) gets jealous when she sees the way I connect with my mother. As far as intimate scenes are concerned, I guess I shouldn’t lie about it. Yes, she was not comfortable with it initially. It’s understandable, she comes from a very different background, so it was hard for her to accept me doing these scenes. Frankly, I wasn’t sure she would understand, but to my surprise, she did! She’s very mature, and I love how she has blended into my family.”
