7 Licking County players earn All-Ohio in Divisions I and II


COLUMBUS — Three Granville girls basketball players were honored by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association on Tuesday for leading the Blue Aces during an historic season that included a perfect run through the Licking County League and a trip to the Division II regional finals.

Junior Harper Annarino was named to the All-Ohio second team. Teammates senior Ava Gossman and junior Aliyah Moore were named to the honorable mention list as was Heath senior Taliyah Holmes.

Newark senior Brie Gingras and the Watkins Memorial senior duo of Kalleigh Rennie and Cameryn Wheeler each were named to the honorable mention list in Division I.

Granville junior Harper Annarino was named to the All-Ohio Division II second team on Tuesday.

Annarino averaged 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. She shot 53% from the field, 39% from 3-point range and 76% from the line.

Gossman averaged 11.8 points and 2.3 assists per game, shooting 42% from the floor. Moore averaged 9.3 points, making 75 3-pointers.

Holmes averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 assists and 3.9 steals per game, leading the Bulldogs to the Licking County League-Cardinal Division title.
