Lady, Repeat After Me: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Are Not God – The American

Regina Goodwin is a Democratic state representative for Oklahoma, and that distinguishes her from all of us who are not Democratic state representatives for Ohio. There begins and ends her brilliant history of past merits. She has recently become popular because she has proclaimed that “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) “is God.” And she has called for everyone who opposes this progressive agenda to be silenced. That is funny. It reminds me of those large, immature children who, despite being over 50 years old, will refuse to listen to any reasoning that they do not like, covering their ears with both hands.

Goodwin is wrong about everything, every minute, and she’s wrong even about everything she’ll think, I dare say, for the next 50 years. But this time she told the truth, by accident. Yes, DEI is God for progressives. Of course, even the golden calf at the foot of Mount Sinai was a deity more worthy than DEI, but the interesting thing here is that she confirms something that some have been denouncing for years: wokeism is a religious sect made up of worshippers of idiocies.

Nevertheless, I have proposed to become the first DEI theologian, and I promise that I have spent days reading books by stoned sociologists and accounts of Goodwin’s speeches; my favorite is when, in a debate about abortion, after the intervention of a skilled politician, she replies that, if we are truly worried about the lives of children, why not start by reuniting immigrant children with their parents. I am moved by how concerned she is with immigrant children who have managed to be born, but I am amazed at her contempt for the lives of the same children when they are still in their mothers’ wombs.

I suppose DEI is the way the Left channels its general hatred against human beings and throws the disgraced on the sacrificial altar. Let’s see:

Diversity could be a beautiful concept if it weren’t so broad. As far as deities go, it leaves much to be desired. A diverse group of Democrats in a lunatic asylum’s annual photo, each with their color, gender, clothes, and accent, communicates the concept. However, that same image of diversity becomes morally dubious when it portrays a gang of rapists or serial killers. So diversity or its absence does not tell us much about good or bad.

On the other hand, teaching children daily about the diversity of races, genders, abilities, and tastes is nonsense. Most children do not care about diversity, they are interested in people, specifically their friends, in the same way that they are not at all interested in Goodwin, however diverse she is, although she always seems to look the same in photos.

In regard to equity, progressives take very seriously that we should not confuse it with equality. And they are right: Equity is when something is paid for by your taxes. Equality is when it is financed by nature.

The woke concept of equity goes even further because it aims to raise or lower a person to equate them with the rest while taking into account their trajectory and even the historical trajectory of their ancestors. This gives a constant comparative advantage to all children who have some sort of peculiarity in their skin color, something unusual between their legs, or their party membership card signed with rabbit blood following a Gori-Gori tribal ritual, and clearly discriminates against all children whose biographies and genes are less colorful.

One of the reasons most people, as with Goodwin, don’t like equality is because without privileges they would have had to look for a serious job and make an effort. The only equality that conservatives are interested in, namely equal opportunity, brings most people out in rashes because it requires work.

As for inclusion, what the wokes mean is that the rules of the diversity and equity deity must be applied immediately if you don’t want the leftist media bullies to orchestrate a cancellation campaign. It doesn’t matter if you are a student, a teacher, or the person in charge of carrying the parasol for Goodwin as she carries the prejudices of her DEI god along the school corridors.

The poor have exchanged Christ for DEI. The Left now has a tiny god, which fits in the Federal Register.
