Granville Christian girls basketball wins at Shekinah Christian

Natalia Locke’s 11 points led a balanced attack for the Granville Christian girls basketball team on Thursday during a 43-40 victory at Shekinah Christian in Mid-Ohio Christian Athletic League play.

Brianna Hubbard added 10 points, Ellie Flowers nine and Skyler Weekley seven for the Lions (7-4, 4-1).

GCA falls on road

Granville Christian fell behind host Fairfield Christian 21-8 after one quarter, and it sent the Lions to a 70-42 loss.

Andrew Benvie and Eli Cooper led the Lions (2-9) with 10 points apiece. Bentley Johnson added nine points and Gabe Perez eight.

Heath girls win

Alexis Martin’s high game of 195 led the Heath girls to a victory against Maysville, 1,775-1,665.

Summer Mohler added games of 186 and 162 and Kat Boyd a high game of 158 for the Bulldogs.

Bryce Holmes’ games of 259 and 213 led the Heath boys in a loss to Maysville, 2,118-2,017. Reese Henderson added a high game of 204, Payton Love 181, Oliver Walton 163 and Josh Dover 155 for the Bulldogs.
