NEWARK WEATHER

Monthly News from Susan Miller — December 2022

Dear Reader,

I love the magic of Christmas, the beauty, the sparkle, and most of all the love that is expressed at this time of the year. We get a chance to show those we love how much they mean to us in both large and small ways.

December is a big month for me for another reason. Astrology Zone was born on December 14, 1995—this year marks 27 years the Internet. It gives me the same pleasure today that I felt in the beginning to serve you and keep you up to date on astrological developments.

I never thought I would feel the same excitement as I felt when I started on the Internet, but I did this year when I ventured into Web 3 with my NFT Stars Collection. It totally captivated me. The excitement was thrilling. For a look, go to www.astrologyzone.com/stars

In early February I started work on my NFT collection, and we launched on August 1, 2022. Think of an NFT not so much as art (although it is) but more as a “utility” or benefit of having a ticket to get closer to the Astrology Zone community. You will be given private access to my twice-monthly talks on Discord, only open to NFT holders.

Venturing into Web 3 required a team, and ours was led by David Weinstein, our Aries visionary and CEO of Deep Time Project. David brought in Josh Victor Rothstein, a Capricorn whiz who was our Creative & Digital Technical Director, and Blake Swerdlof, Project Manager extraordinaire. Blake is a Virgo who kept the project strictly on track. French artist Izak Zenou, a world citizen Sagittarius who lives in the US, made an enormous contribution. Izak kept impressing us with his dazzling display of imagination, creativity, and beauty.

I also have to thank Sagittarian (with Aquarius rising) Sarah Miller, CEO of Axis Entertainment in Los Angeles and Phoenix, who provided smart digital insights on Web 3, and Mike Aronow, CEO of Amplify in New York City. Mike, a Virgo, loves big data and provided, in tandem with the team, additional valuable recommendations. Finally, we needed to rely on the digital brain trusts at Polygon and Moonwalk to put all our work together to present in final form for you to see today.

The results were 12,000 original pieces, an arresting, dazzling display of astrological portrait art, with 1,000 individual pieces per zodiac sign (500 of men and 500 of women per sign), representing a wide variety of ethnicities, and all registered for purchasers on the blockchain.

Ancient astrologers had described the physical appearance of each of the signs, and I ventured into an extensive research project, studying the faces of men and women of all 12 signs to see if those physical descriptions provided by ancient astrologers held up. They did, but I found additional physical details that the ancients could not have spotted without the help of researching the Internet. I ended printing out close to 975 photographs of Hollywood celebrities, government officials, athletes, musical artists, and more, and they were fairly evenly divided by men and women in each of the 12 signs.

Blake hired an assistant to print out the research I emailed over a period of weeks. I divided the signs carefully, and the printouts were all put into yellow accordion folders for Izak. I wrote a description of the physical facial qualities of each sign, but an artist works in visuals—that is their currency—so I wanted to speak to Izak in a way that would crystalize my points in an instant, summing up the thread I found that linked each sign. For example, I discovered that virtually all the Virgo and Capricorn men wore beards—more than any other sign.

I joined the social media platform Discord, which allowed me more options than other social media to create a close, more substantive relationship with you, my loyal reader. With the purchase of one painting for $199 US (by credit card not cryptocurrency), you have free access to my regular “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) interactive audio sessions on Discord that run 90 to 120 minutes. We are planning live events in 2022, and the first private event for NFT holders will take place in New York City at the Louis Vuitton popup store.

In September I introduced a new app called Moonlight Phases, which chronicles the period when the moon is Void of Course—periods you should never do anything important like have a major press interview, sign a contract, or have a first date. I was a little hesitant to introduce this concept to a mass audience, and the surprise of 2022 was that you loved this app. It was a runaway success. It’s available on Apple and Google Play and costs a onetime purchase of $7.99. Moonlight Phases has GPS built in (as does my other app, Astrology Zone Horoscopes) so that you will always get accurate information no matter where you are.

I just finished my 2023 Year Ahead Calendar, which is on the front page of my website and ready to order. It took me five months to write and two months to work with my editor and designer to get it just so. The calendar has been printed and shipped to the fulfillment house. The price is the same as last year, $26.99 plus shipping. We print on archival paper and use the richest inks. Izak did all the artwork, and I wrote very word (all 20,000 of them!). We will ship starting December 7, the full moon in Gemini. You will love the vibrant art that Izak created!

I also introduced my second Cosmic Beauty box (see the home page of Astrology Zone or go to www.TheBeautySeason.com to see it). It has mostly full-sized products in the Fire, Earth, Air, and Water element boxes that I curated. Included is a 68-page book I wrote that covers the end of 2022 and the start of 2023. It costs $40 (a $250 value) and includes shipping in the US. There is an extra fee for international shipping, which we are doing with this new box. The products are all brand new and emerging in the marketplace—some retail for more than the price of the entire box!

I just finished writing most of my Year Ahead 2023 ebook (which will be available as a PDF). I want to still work on some of the signs to add more detail. You know me—I don’t stop until I have covered every morsel of information I can find for you.

December will be a magical month, perfect for celebrations. I am sure you will be drawn in by the loving spirit of the season.

Happy Holidays, dear Reader!

Susan
