WE’RE HEARING FROM A CLOSE FAMILY FRIEND JEFF BRANCH OF BOROUGH, NORTH CAROLINA, HE’S PLAYED HOWARD SPRAGUE AS A MAYBERRY TRIBUTE ARTTIS FOR YEARS. THAT’S NOW HE AND MAGGIE MET HE SAYS SHE LOVED FANS LOVED PERFORMING AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. SOME PEOPLE WOULD SAY. ALL RIGHT. IT’S GETTING CLOSE TO TIMELESS. WE NEED I’M READY TO GO HOME. Maggie Peterson Mancuso died Sunday at the age of 81.Mancuso played the beloved character of “Charlene Darling”, on the Andy Griffith Show.The Andy Griffith Museum posted on Facebook that Mancuso died on May 15.The post reads “we will miss you Maggie.”Mancuso appeared with the Darling family in six episodes of the Andy Griffith Show from 1963 to 1966.She also appeared on episodes of Greens Acres, Gomer Pyle USMC, Love American Style and The Odd Couple.
MOUNT AIRY, N.C. —
Maggie Peterson Mancuso died Sunday at the age of 81.
Mancuso played the beloved character of “Charlene Darling”, on the Andy Griffith Show.
The Andy Griffith Museum posted on Facebook that Mancuso died on May 15.
The post reads “we will miss you Maggie.”
Mancuso appeared with the Darling family in six episodes of the Andy Griffith Show from 1963 to 1966.
