Columbus festivals return with Ohio State Fair, Pride, Boom
Did you miss your favorite festival last year and the year before? If so, fear not: It probably will be back, new and improved, this year.
April brings some food and beer, while May offers music, folk and otherwise, as well as art and tacos.
By June, the festival season is in full swing, with the return of Columbus Pride, ComFest, the Columbus Arts Festival, Creekside Blues and Jazz, and more.

July starts with a bang with Red, White and Boom, followed by the Doo Dah Parade, and moving into the Lancaster Festival, the Jazz and Ribs Fest, the Buckeye Country Superfest and the Ohio State Fair.
August will bring the Dublin Irish Festival, Festival Latino and plenty more, before heading into Labor Day for the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival, the Obetz Zucchinifest and the Columbus Greek Festival.

Columbus Beerfest and Taste of Granville in April

• May 7-8, Central Ohio Folk Festival: Highbanks Metro Park, 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center. The family friendly festival features folk and Americana music, multiple workshops, kids’ programming, drum circles and an evening act by headliners The Way Down Wanderers. Blues & jazz:Popular Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival will take place in June with full lineup
• June 10-12, Columbus Arts Festival: Scioto Mile, Downtown riverfront. Enjoy the work of more than 200 local and national artists as well as performers on three stages and activities for kids. (columbusartsfestival.org)
• June 17-18, Stonewall Columbus Pride Community Festival: Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St. Celebrate the LGBTQ community at this family-friendly event, which will include the Pride March on June 18. (stonewallcolumbus.org)

• July 1, Red, White and Boom: Genoa Park, 303 W. Broad St. What’s billed as the largest Independence Day celebration in the Midwest will return for its 40th celebration. (www.redwhiteandboom.org)
• July 4, Doo Dah Music Fest and Parade: Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St. The organizers of the 39th parade invite everyone to celebrate “liberty and lunacy,” and then stick around for some music. (doodahparade.com)
• July 9-10, Westerville Music and Arts Festival: Heritage Park, 60 N. Cleveland Ave., Westerville. More than 130 artists will exhibit their wares, along with 30 performers including headliners The Reagonomics. (www.westervillechamber.com)
