Ohio schools will be required to give annual dyslexia screenings


A bill signed into law by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will require school districts and other public schools to administer annual dyslexia screenings to students.DeWine signed House Bill 436 into law on Jan. 9. A bill signed into law by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will require school districts and other public schools to administer annual dyslexia screenings to students.

DeWine signed House Bill 436 into law on Jan. 9. The bill focuses on dyslexia screening, intervention and remediation.

The bill will require schools to give the dyslexia screenings to students starting in the 2022-2023 school year.
