What you need to know before attending the Tool concert in Columbus


Tool will perform songs from its

Metal band Tool will perform Sunday night in Nationwide Arena. The band is touring in support of its 2019 album “Fear Inoculum,” whichwas the first release by the group in 13 years. For those new to the Tool concert experience, you can expect songs that typically last more than 10 minutes. Oh, and don’t expect to see much of the musicians, who typically shy away from the spotlight, allowing other visuals to do their talking. Opening will be duo The Acid Helps.

Here are things to know, according to the Nationwide Arena website, before going to the show:

• Arrive early: The doors are scheduled to open at 6 p.m. 

• No cameras or video: At the band’s request, there is a no cameras or videos, including cellphones, are allowed. Once your ticket has been scanned, you are asked to turn off your phone. (Phone use is permitted in the concourses.) 

• Masks are required.

• Bags will not be permitted except medical bags, diaper bags or clutches no larger than 8-by-5-by-1.
