Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. While a majority of Ohio school districts lift mask requirements, Cincinnati Public Schools keeps their mask policies in place. Across Ohio, COVID-19 infection rates have fallen dramatically. Last week, Ohio schools reported 4,489 cases which is significantly lower than the peak’s 25,000 cases per week. (Spectrum News 1)
  2. Mayor Aftab Pureval appoints the first woman to lead the Cincinnati Police Department. Lt. Col. Teresa Theetge has been appointed the interim police chief after Chief Eliot Isaac retires at the end of this month. Chief Isaac has served 33 years with the Cincinnati Police Department and has served as chief since 2015. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  3. The Ohio Statewide Expungement and Career Fair is coming to Cincinnati. Legal professionals will be on site to assist in expunging backgrounds related to cannabis and utilities services. The fair will be at York Street’s United Methodist Church on Feb. 16 starting at 11:00 AM. (WLWT Cincinnati)
