Manager Jonathan Pryor’s body was found shot


Jonathan D. Pryor, 46, was fatally shot Dec. 17 before firefighters removed his body from a fire that morning at the Confidential Gentlemen's Club on the Far East Side where he was manager and security chief.

A man whose body was found in mid-December by firefighters responding to a fire inside a strip club on Columbus’ Far East Side has now been identified by police as the club’s manager and head of security.

Jonathan D. Pryor, 46, was shot Dec. 17 before firefighters removed his body early that morning from the fire at Confidential Gentlemen’s Club, said Sgt. James Marable of the Columbus police homicide unit.

But it wasn’t until this week that Columbus police publicly identified Pryor as the victim of that homicide because they had to wait on an autopsy by the Franklin County Coroner’s office to officially confirm his identity and cause of death.
