Roundup: Delphos Jefferson defeats LCC to remain unbeaten in girls basketball


DELPHOS — Lyv Lindeman had 14 points and Lauren French scored 12 as Delphos Jefferson improved to 13-0 in girls high school basketball with a 60-18 victory Thursday night against Lima Central Catholic. Olivia Stolly had 10 points for LCC (4-8).

KENTON — Celina’s Landin Wallace (113) and Jaden King (165) won by pin and teammate Zach Greber (138) won by decisiion. Kenton’s Antonio Pettit (132) and Matthew Handel (215) recorded pins and Anthony Hunt (144) secured a major decision.

LIMA — The 33rd annual Spartan Invitational is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lima Senior. Teams scheduled to compete include Allen East, Bath, Coldwater, Cory-Rawson, Crestview, Edgerton, Elida, Fostoria, Delphos Jefferson, Liberty-Benton, Lima Central Catholic, Lima Senior, Mechanicsburg, Pandora-Gilboa, Paulding, Toledo Rogers, Shawnee, Spencerville, Holland Springfield and St. Marys.

academic honor

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association recently named Defiance College junior and Shawnee graduate Brianna Snider to the Academic All-Ohio First Team.

Body

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association recently named Defiance College junior and Shawnee graduate Brianna Snider to the Academic All-Ohio First Team.

Snider appeared in 14 games this past season, making nine starts. She tallied seven shots, four shots on goal, and one goal. Snider also earned Tom Bohlson Academic All-HCAC team honors in soccer and cross country.
