Raising Canes to increase starting wage in Ohio to $15 per hour – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO


Raising Cane’s employees in Ohio will see an increase in their hourly wage this week.

The restaurant said they are bumping up their starting wage to $15 an hour. Raising Cane’s said on average, most workers will see a nearly $3 an hour increase.

Cane’s will also be adjusting hourly manager pay to a minimum of $18 per hour.

The raises are set to begin on Dec. 22.

The move to raise employees’ hourly rates comes after the company announced plans for growth in 2022, including opening 100 new restaurants in Ohio.

The restaurant says it has set a goal of hiring 10,000 new workers within the next few weeks.

“Ohio has been such a major growth market for Raising Cane’s over the years, and none of what we have accomplished would be possible without our Crew,” said Dustin Shearer, Raising Cane’s Vice President of Restaurants. “As we continue to expand across Ohio, we are excited to invest even more in our hardworking Crew who make it all happen.”

The increase in wages in Ohio will be a $7.8M investment for the company, the restaurant said.
