KCCI provides a daily snapshot of the past 24 hours of statistics.As of 10 a.m. Sunday, the Iowa DPH website reports 385,739 positive COVID-19 tests statewide since Iowa’s outbreak began, with an additional 469 positive tests confirmed in the past 24 hours. The Iowa DPH reported eight additional COVID-19 deaths, increasing the statewide death toll to 5,857.Of Iowa’s pandemic-related deaths, COVID-19 is reported as the underlying cause for 5,208 deaths. For 649 Iowans, COVID-19 was a contributing factor to their deaths.The website said 5,408 of the state’s deaths involved Iowans with preexisting conditions.According to the Iowa DPH vaccination dashboard, 1,844,993 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Iowa.The dashboard reports that 690,930 individuals completed two-dose vaccinations and 71,240 individuals have completed single-dose vaccinations.The Iowa DPH reports 762,170 total completed vaccine series.According to the state’s website, a total of 4,582,102 individuals received COVID-19 tests. Iowa’s average reported positivity rate is 4.8% over the last 14 days.Iowa DPH reports 212 hospitalizations, of which 54 patients are in intensive care units. Iowa hospitals admitted 39 patients in the last 24 hours, compared to 47 hospitalizations the day before. The Iowa DPH reports three COVID-19 outbreaks among long-term care facilities in the state. COVID-19 outbreaks at long-term care facilities account for 2,294 of the state’s total deaths. According to the state, 337,573 Iowans are recovering.

The Iowa DPH reported eight additional COVID-19 deaths, increasing the statewide death toll to 5,857.
