2021 Ohio Beef Expo youth take home championships for cattle born, bred and raised in


The 33rd Ohio Beef Expo Junior Show was recently held at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. This year’s show included separate championship drives for the Buckeye Breeders Series (BBS) — a division of the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s (OCA) Beef Exhibitor Show Total (BEST) program that features registered cattle born, bred and raised in Ohio.

The BBS division at the Expo was sponsored by Bob Evans Farms. The season’s sponsoring partners are Dickson Cattle Co., The Folks Printing Co., Jones Show Cattle and R.D. Jones Excavating.

The BBS Heifer Show was judged by Kyle Conley of Sulpher, Okla., and the BBS Market Animal Show was assessed by Joe Rathmann of Smithville, Texas. The champion exhibitors of this year’s BBS show are as follows:

The Ohio Beef Expo is the state’s largest beef cattle event and is coordinated by the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA). OCA is a non-profit membership organization that represents the business interests important to farm families that raise cattle. It serves as the voice and issues manager for all of Ohio’s beef cattle business including cattle breeders, producers and feeders.
