‘Jersey Shore’ Star DJ Pauly D Accused of Being ‘Mentally & Physically Abusive’

As Nicki Swift puts it, DJ Pauly D and Aubrey O’Day “seemed like a reality TV match made in heaven.” But their relationship turned out to be anything but. Though it only lasted a year, the romance was filled with plenty of drama before it eventually came to an end.

Even years later, DJ Pauly D and O’Day have continued to go back and forth about their relationship. Most recently, O’Day reportedly went on social media and leveled even more claims against her ex, accusing him of allegedly being abusive and only loving her at her “weakest self.”

Aubrey O’Day’s relationship with DJ Pauly D dates back to 2016

O’Day confirmed to E! News in February 2016 that she had been dating the Jersey Shore star for a few months after meeting him on E!’s Famously Single.

“It ended up just like becoming like this chemistry happened within the house with a few of the cast-mates and Pauly and I were one of them,” she explained. “Which everybody always laughs I feel like people think we’re completely different but ended up being pretty alike in a lot of ways.”

But by the following year, that chemistry had fizzled out. A source told People in July 2017, “They’re definitely broken up. It was a long time coming — they were always on and off.”

Their relationship continued to sour from there

The former flames reunited in 2018 for a season on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars but failed to get back together. The show actually appeared to make their relationship worse, as O’Day claimed her ex had allegedly been abusive and wished death on him.

“There was no healthy dialogue. There was no progressive communication,” O’Day told Us Weekly in a statement at the time, when asked about her relationship with the reality star. “There were rules and the rules needed to be followed, and when they weren’t, you were punished.”

DJ Pauly D countered, “Rules of a relationship? Yeah, you can’t hook up with other guys. She calls those rules. I don’t see them as rules. It’s just life. When you’re in a relationship, you don’t do certain things. That’s it. That relationship — what a mess.” He also told Page Six he believed he’d dodged a bullet with O’Day and was “so happy” they were no longer together.

The entertainment website Ace Showbiz reports that recently, O’Day allegedly posted about DJ Pauly D on social media. When a fan mentioned how “heartbroken” they still were over the pair’s breakup, she reportedly replied: “Don’t be heartbroken! He was mentally & physically abusive, I was in a dark place. He only loved & admired me at my weakest self.”

She also told the person. “Be sad for the next, she’ll have to delete anything one/he doesn’t like, operate under rules, won’t b claimed by him & he’ll stay cheating. Sad life.”

As of writing, DJ Pauly D has not responded to the statements.
