‘Dancing With the Stars’ Lineup Is Ready to Make It ‘Hot in Herre’ With Nelly,

The lineup for the upcoming Dancing With the Stars season was announced on Wednesday (Sept. 2), and it includes rapper Nelly, the Backstreet Boys‘ AJ McLean and Tiger King star Carole Baskin.

The always-eclectic mix of celebrities revealed on Good Morning America for the 29th season of the show — which will cha-cha back onto screen on Sept. 14 — also includes Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalf, NFL Super Bowl champ and former 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, the Bachelorette‘s Kaitlyn Bristowe and Cheer coach Monica Aldama.

The show, which always delights with a quirky mix of athletes, actors, musicians and of-the-moment public figures looking for redemption, has also roped in actress and Chicago P.D. star Anne Heche, Disney Channel (Jessi, Bunk’d) alum and co-star of Lil Nas X’s “Panini” video Skai Jackson, Justina Machado of the One Day at a Time reboot and The Real panelist Jeannie Mai.

Former NBA power forward Charles Oakley is in the mix as well, as is Catfish co-creator Nev Schulman, Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause, and our early pick to take it all, the absolutely fabulous two-time Olympic skater and LGBTQ activist Johnny Weir.

Weir has company, as fellow former skaters Adam Rippon, Meryl Davis, Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi have won the show. Musicians have also put up a handful of trophies, including Drew Lachey, Donny Osmond, Nicole Scherzinger and Kellie Pickler.

Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Val Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, Keo Motsepe, Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Sasha Farber, Pasha Pashkov, Emma Slater and Gleb Savchenko will all be returning as the pro dancers, with Britt Stewart and Daniella Karagach also joining the cast as pros. Tyra Banks is on board as executive producer and host, following the departure of longtime co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

At press time, the show had not revealed how it will deal with social distancing in the midst of the still-raging COVID-19 pandemic, though it will not have a studio audience for the first time.
