Cops release footage of man possibly linked to NYC shooting

Cops released footage early Tuesday of a person who they believe may be connected to the shooting of a man in Times Square.

The victim, who police believe is his 30s, was arguing with another man on Broadway near West 46th Street around 5:40 a.m. Monday when things turned physical, police said.

The shooter whipped out a gun and fired three rounds at the victim, striking him in the left leg, cops said.

He then fled on foot, heading south on Seventh Avenue.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

Authorities said Tuesday they want to question the man, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, who was captured on surveillance video inside of a nearby building.

He’s shown with dark hair pulled back in a ponytail, ripped jeans, sneakers, a black-and-white jacket and a black backwards cap, carrying a black bag.

The Times Square shooting was one of 10 incidents with 11 victims reported Monday, according to preliminary NYPD figures.
