MOESC announces Artapolooza winners

Trophies, medals and certificates were handed out during the Artapolooza 2021, sponsored by the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center.

MANSFIELD – Thirteen area school districts participated in Artapolooza 2021 March 20-24 at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, including Crestline and St. Bernard.  There was also a selection of area artwork from the North Central region of the Ohio Art Educators Association.

Gabe Carroll from Shelby High School took Best of Show with his pair of ceramic vases. Also rounding out the top awards for the high school division were Attie Pierce, Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools – 1st place; Allegra Ruhl, GOAL Digital Academy – 2nd place; and Casey Lantz, Shelby High School – 3rd place.

Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools earned recognition for Best Display. Middle school awards went to Kensie Pitt, Crestline Middle School – 1st Place; Lindsay Montgomery, Shelby Middle School – 2nd place; and Rilyn Mott, Highland Middle School – 3rd place. Honorable Mention medals were awarded to the following: Bailey Crawford and Maddie Engler of Crestline; Jenna Abrams and Samuel Class of GOAL Digital Academy; Madison Cline, Alexia Hamilton, Jade Meyers and Kameron Stover of Highland; Sylvia S. of Lexington; Carmella Desterhaft, Thalia Kurtzman and Joseph Desterhaft of Lucas; Lydia Roggio of Mansfield Christian; Riley Kilgore, Zoey Endicott and Natalie Channing of Plymouth-Shiloh; and Makenna Miller, Trinity Potts, Paige Hoffbauer and Maddie Parks of Shelby.
