Bollywood actress Esha Deol, daughter of veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, recently announced that she has decided to part ways with husband Bharat Takhtani after 11 years of marriage. On the work front, the actress made her acting comeback last year with Ajay Devgn’s thriller series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. And now, there’s a possibility of her entering politics.

In a recent interview, the legendary star who is currently serving as a member of the Lok Sabha from the Mathura constituency, was asked if her daughters will follow in her footsteps.
She told ABP news, “If they want. Esha is very interested in it, she loves doing it. In the next few years, if she is interested, she will definitely (join politics).”

Announcing their separation earlier this month, they said in a joint statement, “We have mutually & amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected throughout. Thank you, Esha Deol & Bharat Takhtani .” They did not reveal the reason behind their split but reports claim that trouble had been brewing for quite some time between them.
Esha tied the knot with Bharat Takhtani in 2012. They had an intimate wedding ceremony at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai and later held a grand reception for their friends from the fraternity.
In 2017, the duo was blessed with their first child, daughter Radhya. They welcomed their second daughter, Miraya, two years later.
As per reports, Dharmendra is heartbroken and wants the couple to rethink their decision for the sake of their children.
