Don Edwards Park is owned by The City of Newark, and is operated by The Buckeye
Valley Family YMCA. Every season the ballpark serves as the summer job for about 45
high school and college students. Our staff handles every aspect of the ballpark including
field maintenance and preparation, facility operations, event/league planning and
execution along with all aspects of the concession stand.

Don Edwards Park has become a popular place to host a multitude of community events
as well as large regional and state wide tournaments and events. Our facility is open to all
groups and organizations, as long as their event does not violate any of our policies. With
the popularity of our ballpark rising, we are required to schedule games, tournaments &
events as far as 12-18 months in advance. Anyone interested in using Don Edwards Park
