Cleveland Browns announce ex-Vikings DT Dalvin Tomlinson as new signee

It took the Browns until late in the evening of the first day of the negotiating period, but they finally landed a big-ticket defensive tackle. On Wednesday, they made that signing official.

The Browns announced a four-year deal with former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson Wednesday, the first day new deals could be signed. The deal, which was originally reported late Monday night, will be for four years and $57 million, with $27.5 million guaranteed.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to come to Cleveland and have a chance to compete for a championship for one of the greatest fan bases in the NFL, the Dawg Pound,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “I can’t wait to get to The Land, put on my orange and brown and start working alongside my new teammates and coaches. You’re going to get everything I have Cleveland. Let’s go be great.”
