Kent State women’s basketball set to face Syracuse in 2023 WNIT

The Kent State men’s basketball team is headed for the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2017. But the women’s team isn’t done either, as the Golden Flashes will play Syracuse in the opening round of the 2023 Postseason WNIT.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the JMA Wireless Dome in Albany, N.Y.

The Golden Flashes (21-10, 12-6) will be making their seventh appearance in the WNIT. KSU has won opening-round games of the WNIT in its last two appearances, against Green Bay in 2019 and Youngstown State last year.

Wednesday’s winner will advance to play the winner of Seton Hall and St. John’s.
