Ohio State QBs among players set to fill big shoes next season
The 2023 NFL Draft declaration period is over, which means that college football stars around the country have locked in decisions about their professional futures. Naturally, the loss of stars creates some major vacancies for programs all around the country. That is where replacement players step in.
Ohio State, for example, has to find an entirely new quarterback following the departure of C.J. Stroud. Stroud gave some fans hope with a late declaration that came just before the buzzer, but he and his over 8,000 career passing yards are moving on.
There are plenty other schools looking for answers after losing stars to the NFL Draft, the transfer portal, or by natural attrition. Even some College Football Playoff contenders will be breaking in replacements.
