Heath boys basketball pulls away from host Lakewood
Jordan Kaminsky scored seven points in the crucial third quarter Friday, sparking the Heath boys basketball team in a 48-33 victory at Lakewood in Licking County League-Cardinal Division play.
Ben Mason hit a trio of 3-pointers and totaled 15 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs (8-2, 5-2), who had a 12-2 edge in the third quarter to pull away. Kaminsky added 12 points and four assists and Jaxon Duston five steals.
Adam Crawford led the Lancers (1-13, 0-7) with 11 points. Colton Ferry added 10.
Johnstown cruises at home
Johnstown hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter, racing out to a 21-7 lead on its way to a 58-29 victory against visiting Newark Catholic in LCL-Cardinal play.
Caleb Schneider led a balanced attack with 13 points, and Kyle Siegfried was right behind with 12 points, each hitting a trio of 3s. Cody Siegfried and Conner Fain added 10 points apiece for the Johnnies (7-6, 5-3).
Eli Morris led the Green Wave (2-10, 1-7) with 18 points.
