Heath girls basketball wins at Johnstown
Caroline Robertson totaled 12 points on four 3-pointers Wednesday, lifting the Heath girls basketball team to a 38-30 victory at Johnstown in Licking County League-Cardinal Division play.
Taliyah Holmes added eight points for the Bulldogs (9-5, 5-3), who used a 17-9 edge in the third quarter to take control.
Abigail Adkins led the Johnnies (6-7, 5-4) with 12 points. Kylie Sharp added 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.
Northridge edges Lakewood
Kenzie Hannahs and Maddie Knerr each hit a fourth-quarter 3-pointer, shooting Northridge to a 42-39 victory at Lakewood in LCL-Cardinal play.
Reese Callan led the Vikings (6-8, 4-5) with 12 points. Hannahs and Naia Moore added eight points apiece for the Vikings, who hit six 3s, with Hannahs picking up four assists.
Rachel Crist and Grace Sturgell led the Lancers (5-8, 2-6) with 11 points apiece. Charlee Palmer added 10 points.
NC wins at home
Fini Kaiser’s 22 points and 10 rebounds powered Newark Catholic to a 52-37 victory against visiting Utica in LCL-Cardinal play.
Sophie Peloquin added 15 points and five assists for the Green Wave (11-2, 7-2), who led 18-3 after one quarter and 37-15 at halftime.
Abby Dickson’s 21 points led Utica (4-9, 2-6).
Hillis leads Valley
Rylee Hillis scored 15 of her 18 points in the second half for Licking Valley in a 46-35 loss to visiting Zanesville in LCL-Cardinal play.
Avery Williams added eight points for the Panthers (2-11, 1-7). Kandrea Sowers led the Blue Devils (6-6, 5-3) with 12 points.

Newark rolls
Newark beat visiting Pickerington Central 84-0 to begin its Ohio Capital Conference-Buckeye Division schedule.
Winning by pin were Carson Taylor (120), Jibreel Smith (126), Kaleb Clark (144), Calvin Untied (157), James Daugherty (165), Reese Redman (190) and David Wheeler (Hwt.).
