College football: LCC grad Moore adds to honors

Lima Central Catholic graduate Rossy Moore has been named to D3football.com’s All-America Second Team.

The Mount Union linebacker had previously been named to the 2022 Associated Press Division III All-America First Team.

He led the Purple Raiders in sacks with 10.5 and finished second in tackles for a loss at 19.5.

He also was named the D3football.com All-Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year and the Ohio Athletic Conference’s Gene Slaughter Linebacker of the Year.

Moore’s accomplishments while at Lima Central Catholic included being named first team all-Ohio and earning a spot on The Lima News Dream Team.

Mount Union fell 28-21 to North Central (Ill.) in the Division III national championship game Friday night.
