CLEVELAND − The Browns will be without rookie receiver David Bell, who was officially ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Bell was listed as questionable by the team coming out of Thursday’s practice due to both toe and thumb injuries. However, the third-round pick from Purdue did not practice at all in the week leading up to the game.

Both injuries had been bothering Bell even before this week. He suffered the thumb injury on the first series of the Browns’ Week 13 win at Houston, and sat out the remainder of that game.

The toe injury emerged late in the week leading into last Sunday’s loss at Cincinnati. Despite missing practice on the Friday prior to the game, Bell still managed to catch three passes for 27 yards while playing 49 of the team’s 72 offensive snaps and five special-teams snaps against the Bengals.
