Prince Harry thought he was going on romantic “date night” with Meghan instead

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently attended the Ripple of Hope Awards ceremony, where they received an award for fighting racism in the Royal Family.

During the couple’s discourse, Prince Harry joked that he thought he was going on a “date night” with his beloved wife and not to the awards ceremony.

“To be honest with you all, I thought we were just going on a date night so I find it quite weird that we’re sharing the room with 1,500 people. We don’t get out much because our kids are so small and young and so this is completely unexpected. But it’s nice to share date night with all of you, thank you for coming”, he said

Meghan chipped in: “Thank you for brining me on this very special date night”.

Despite the smiles on the night, the incessant controversy surrounding the relationship between Harry and Meghan and the royal family is reaching boiling point. The couple’s Netflix documentary airs on Thursday 8, and is anticipated to cause the royal spat to spiral further out of control.
