Heath’s Bryce Holmes bowls perfect game
Bryce Holmes had a Monday he will not soon forget for the Heath boys bowling team.
Holmes rolled a perfect game at Park Lanes, leading the Bulldogs to a victory, 2,109-1,670, against Licking Valley. Holmes also rolled a 214 to total a 514 series.
Payton Love added games of 180 and 213, Tyler Hudson a high game of 183 and Josh Dover a high game of 163 for the Bulldogs.
Rolling high games for Valley were Jaylee Martin 188, Trevor Tucker 183 and Brycn Spray 171.
In the girls match, Valley’s Olivia Strait rolled games of 189 and 196, but Heath picked up the win, 1,386-1,089.
Kat Boyd recorded games of 163 and 153 to lead the Bulldogs, and Alexis Martin added a 148.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Heath nips Fort Frye
Taliyah Holmes’ steal and assist to Peyton DelCecato for the game-winning layup lifted Heath to a 31-29 victory against visiting Fort Frye.
Holmes scored eight points to lead the Bulldogs (5-0).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Heath wins on road
Preston DeVito’s 13 points led a balanced attack for Heath in a 64-39 season-opening victory at Marion-Franklin.
Will Robertson added 12 points, Jaxon Duston 11 points and five steals and Ben Mason nine points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
