Cincinnati vs. Ohio State 11/22/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bearcats meet in college basketball action from the Lahaina Civic Center on Tuesday.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to bounce back from an 88-77 loss at the hands of San Diego State in their last game. Brice Sensabaugh leads the Buckeyes in scoring with 17 PPG along with 5.7 RPG while Zed Key is averaging a double-double per game, leading the Buckeyes in rebounding with 13.3 PPG along with a team-high 12.3 RPG. Justice Sueing has 12.3 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Ohio State up to this point while Isaac Likekele has a team-high 4.3 APG this season. As a team, Ohio State is averaging 78.8 PPG on 47.5% shooting from the field, 33.7% from three and 75% from the foul line this season.

The Cincinnati Bearcats will hope to bounce back from back-to-back losses after a 101-93 loss to Arizona last time out. David DeJulius leads the Bearcats in scoring and assists with 18.2 PPG and 3.3 APG while Landers Nolley II has 14 PPG with 4.8 RPG and Jeremiah Davenport has 12 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Cincinnati up to this point in the year. Viktor Lakhin also has 9 PPG with 8.5 RPG to lead the Bearcats on the glass while Rob Phinisee also has 3.3 APG this season. As a team, Cincinnati is averaging 79.6 PPG on 44.6% shooting from the field, 35.4% from three and 66.3% from the foul line this season.

I’ll be the first to admit that there is some talent on these two teams, but frankly I haven’t been impressed with either as well, as nothing really screams wow about what either side has done this year. Ohio State’s three wins came against teams 289^th or worse in the KenPom rankings, while Cincinnati’s two wins came against teams 269 and 264 in KenPom and the Bearcats also got stifled by Northern Kentucky. That’s why I’m on the under here. I think this is a 40-minute struggle with some solid defense being played and a lot of missed shots and sloppy play. Give me the under here.
