Oregon identifies its first likely monkeypox infection
Oregon on Thursday reported its first likely monkeypox infection and one of 99 identified nationally.
The person had traveled to a community with confirmed cases before falling ill, the Oregon Health Authority said. Officials are labeling the case as “probable” and are awaiting testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmation.
