Schoonover Observatory to start weekly viewing program
LIMA — Schoonover Observatory will be open each Friday night starting June 3rd at 9:00p.m.
The “Summer Viewing Program” is always open to the public and excludes astronomy programs and handouts. This has become a popular summer program for the Lima Astronomical Society. Schoonover Observatory has much to offer everyone — young or old. There are all levels of participation. Someone who is knowledgeable can answer all your questions.
The observatory will open even if skies are cloudy for Astronomy programs and education. Memberships to the LAS are available for purchase. Businesses and service organizations are asked to think about ongoing donations to help the volunteers at the observatory provide more education and equipment support. We have some great plans and ideas.
