Hello all. I’m back in your inbox this morning with your new copy of the Avon-Avon Lake Daily. Here are all the most important things to know about what’s happening in town…

First, today’s weather:

High clouds, breezy and cool. High: 59 Low: 52.

Here are the top three stories today in Avon-Avon Lake:

  1. The Dazzle Awards, presented by Pat and John Chapman, inspire and honor excellence in high school musical theater and recognize the importance of musical theater and arts education within the Northeast Ohio community. This year Avon Lake High School ALHS Drama Club took home a Dazzle for Best Costume Design. Congratulations ALHS Drama Club! (Facebook)
  2. Looking for a new home, or your first home? Here’s a sampling of the latest batch of properties to go up for sale in and around Avon-Avon Lake — such as one in the Avon area with 4 beds and 3 baths for $425,000, and another in the Avon area with 4 beds and 4 baths for $799,900. 3. Teaching little ones numbers, colors and a love for Cleveland, Avon resident and father of two, David Gollinger, just got his first book, with a very clever name, published; “123 CLE: The Best Counting Book In The Land.” It’s geared for children ages 0-4. The book is being published by Gollinger’s Avon-based company, CLE Kids Books. Check it out! (cleveland.com)

From my notebook:

  • Cleveland Clinic: “You don’t need to carve a full hour out of your day to boost your mental health. A new Cleveland Clinic/ @parade.media survey finds short breaks can have a major impact.” (Instagram)
  • Cleveland Clinic: “Feel like your spring allergies are worse year after year? You’re not imagining things. Here’s why they’re getting worse + your options for relief. ” (Instagram)
  • Support Avon Schools: “If you’ve been waiting to see what the weather will be like for the Eagle Run Saturday, May 28 before you register, the forecast is calling for a glorious day! Why not get your run in and support a good cause. Sign the kids up, too. Walking is o.k.” (Facebook)
