Good morning, neighbors! It’s me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Strongsville Daily.

First, today’s weather:

Partly sunny and very warm. High: 81 Low: 56.

Here are the top three stories today in Strongsville:

  1. The Cuyahoga County Scam Squad warns county schools about a new phone scam. Michaela Buckley, a teacher with Strongsville Schools, was a target of one of the scam calls but thankfully called the police department before cooperating with the scammers. The Scam Squad is reminding the community that courts do not phone people with arrest threats, direct payments over the phone, or direct individuals to go to the Justice Center. (Cleveland 19 News)
  2. The owner of a Pearl Road bar filed a police report regarding stolen AirPods to document why an ex-employee was withheld $250 from their last paycheck. The incident occurred in February but the report was filed on Apr. 26. The report is necessary to provide the state with proof of the deduction. (cleveland.com)
