Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. 23-year-old Robert Stevens of Elsmere was arrested for throwing railroad spikes and rocks off a railroad overpass at vehicles on I-75 last Saturday afternoon. Stevens allegedly damaged 11 vehicles. He was charged with 10 counts of vehicular vandalism and one count of possession of drugs. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
  2. In this hot housing market, Homeshake, a Cincinnati-based real estate company that makes 1 percent commission deals, is heating things up in Cincinnati all the more. Since its launch in 202o, Homeshake has accrued more than $20M in transactions and saved customers over $1M in commissions that would have gone to real estate agents. The goal of the company is to make home buying and selling an easier, more affordable process for buyers and sellers, allowing them to end up with more money in their pockets at the end of the deal. (Cincinnati Refined)
  3. As the Federal Reserve raises rates to fight back against inflation, interest rates across the board are following suit. Cincinnati residents are finding that mortgage rates, car loans, student loans, and credit card rates are higher than ever. Adjustable rates, consolidating credit, and boosting your credit scores are just a few ways residents can fight back. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
