Ohio State official visits coming into focus; top WR’s thinking Buckeyes; and more…

Good afternoon Bucknuts members and visitors! There is plenty going on with Ohio State football recruiting so let’s get started! I will of course have plenty more throughout the night and tomorrow.

1) Earlier today I posted an article on wide receiver Noah Rogers from Rolesville (N.C.) who was in Columbus last weekend for the Ohio State spring game. Rogers told me he is looking to come out with a top schools list in the near future and when he does Ohio State will be on it. He also said he will make an official visit to Ohio State and the third and fourth weekends in June have been mentioned.

According to a source in North Carolina, the 6-foot-1 and 180-pound Rogers is the best prospect in North Carolina in at least the past 12 years including Dexter Lawrence and Todd Gurley. Coaches from over 50 schools stopped at Rogers’ school in January. In addition to Ohio State, Rogers has a list of offers that includes North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Florida State, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Auburn, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and many others.

In addition to Ohio State, expect North Carolina State to be on Rogers’ top schools list and perhaps Clemson. Rogers has been to North Carolina State approximately 20 times and his best friend, quarterback Lex Thomas is committed there.
