? Disgusted Browns Fans + Dyngus Day + U.S. Marshals Get Their Man

Happy Easter, Cleveland! If this is a day of faith and celebration for you, we hope your Easter basket is filled with everything good. We’re going to begin today with the results of our Cleveland Browns poll. To tie this all together, here’s a Browns Easter egg.

Weather: Turning sunny and colder.? High: 40 Low: 37.

Disgusted Browns Fans Not Loving Deshaun Watson As Their Quarterback

Almost half of the Cleveland Browns fans who shared their views in the Patch Poll last week claimed the team has lost them as a fan — 47.6 percent to be precise — because of Deshaun Watson, acquired in exchange for three years of first-round draft picks, and the unceremonious soon-to-be-dumping of Baker Mayfield.

Kathleen R. from Shaker Heights expressed a prevailing sentiment among the respondents: “I could never understand how one woman could root for Roethlisberger or how people made Kobe Bryant into a saintly family man. I feel the same about Watson. Would the decision to hire him be made by a room full of women? He’s a pig. He does not deserve to be the face of our city.”

Other fans called him a “weirdo” and “serial predator.”

Do You Dyngus? ??

Monday is Dyngus Day in Cleveland, a celebration of the city’s Polish-American citizenry and heritage. The festivities take place on Gordon Green, with music, paczki, polka dancing, beer ?, and a Miss Dyngus Day pageant.

You can find a full schedule of events here. And there’s a Ukrainian refugee relief benefit taking place Monday, as well, at The South Side on West 11th Street in Tremont as part of the Dyngus Day revelry. (About 2.5 million Ukrainian refugees reportedly have sought safety in Poland.)

Unfamiliar with Cleveland’s Polish history? Polish immigrants began settling and working here in the 1800s, according to a Case Western Reserve University history. (My own Polish forebears, by the name of Kazmirsky, arrived somewhat later, just before World War 2.)

Let’s polka!
