Austin Siereveld Talks Latest Ohio State Visit – Buckeye Scoop

The offensive line position is always a high priority for Ohio State in recruiting, but in needing to rebuild depth on the current roster, it is especially important in the 2023 cycle.

One of the Buckeyes’ top targets comes from within the state of Ohio in Lakota East’s Austin Siereveld. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder was on campus Friday for practice and Saturday for the spring game, giving the Scarlet and Gray a chance to make a move over other top three schools in Alabama and Notre Dame.

“It was great,” Siereveld said. “The highlight of the trip was getting back into The Shoe, seeing all of those fans, and watching the game. I also got to tour campus a bit more and have lunch with the offensive line.”

Spending time with new OSU offensive line coach Justin Frye was also on the agenda. The two have built a solid relationship since Frye came on board.

“Our relationship is really good,” Siereveld said. “He just keeps telling me to come be a Buckeye.”

So, after this trip, how does Siereveld feel about the Buckeyes?

“Really good,” he responded when asked.

Siereveld recently revealed that he is down to Ohio State, the Crimson Tide, and the Fighting Irish. He shared some more on how the rest of the process will go, and what the most important factors will be in picking one of those three great programs.

“I go up to Notre Dame this weekend for their spring game,” he shared. “I don’t know when I will make a decision”, adding that he will do it whenever it feels right. “Academics, the coaches, the facilities, and location will be the most important factors.”
