Ohio County Schools Employee Hercules Seeks U.S. House Seat | News, Sports, Jobs

WHEELING – Brooke County resident Rhonda Hercules says elected leaders in Washington need voted out, and she is offering herself as the alternative.

Hercules is seeking the Republican nomination to West Virginia’s new 2nd District U.S. House seat representing northern West Virginia counties.

Hercules, 54, has worked in Ohio County Schools for 11 years. She currently serves as secretary at the school district’s operations center, where she coordinates safety, inspections and maintenance for 16 buildings in the county.

She also is president of the Ohio County Public Schools Federal Credit Union.

Hercules has strong feelings against those presently serving in Washington.

“I think every single one of them needs to be replaced,” she said. “We need to get rid of all the elites in Washington – every one of them.

“The election was total fraud. The pandemic was a planned-demic. We’re just starting to see these vaccines are no good.”

Hercules said she was among those marching peacefully in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.

“Our citizens should be reminded that we still have political prisoners in jail from Jan. 6,” she added.

She is opposed to America having any connection to the United Nations.

“I want the U.N. out of my government,” she said. “Most of our policies are U.N. policies.”

Hercules also has concerns about members of the public having to have a digital identification code to log into government data.

“With this digital ID, we are working toward a one-world government,” she explained. “That means we need to lose our sovereignty to fit in. I want to make sure that does not happen.”

She said her campaign is “100% self-funded.” She describes herself as both pro-constitution and pro-life.

“We need more people like that,” Hercules said. “I don’t have a portfolio to enrich, and I won’t buy one share of stock while in office.

“We need real leaders – we have no leaders in Washington right now. I believe once we get politicians out of Washington, the world will be a better place.”

She doesn’t believe a free media or a free press exists in America, and she believes elected leaders, themselves, are controlling who seeks office.

“I want to be a good example for other Americans just like me who want to run for office,” she said. “Politicians are choosing who runs and who wins, and we have to put a stop to that.”

Hercules opposed all mandates imposed during the pandemic, and said she filed a legal writ of mandamus against West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice to protect personal rights amid COVID concerns.

“I’m not for any mandates. I’m not for any masks,” she said. “We have to follow the science, and that’s not what we have been doing at all.”

Hercules graduated from Brooke High School in 1986, then went on to be a student at West Liberty University “for more than a decade.”

“I was a stay-at-home mom, and I enjoyed learning,” she said.

While at WLU, Hercules majored in biology, minored in chemistry, and took medical lab courses. She also took sociology courses.

“I didn’t get a degree in college,” she said. “These people (elected politicians) are not better or smarter than we are.

“We have to stop feeling as Americans we are inferior to the people in Washington and can’t run our own government. There are many people who are just as smart and talented as those running today.”

Hercules said she has lived on a farm all her life.

“I want to make sure others run (for office),” she said. “If we don’t get them this time, we will do it next time. A complete turnaround in government takes eight years. We have to stay true and get people.

“Since 9/11, there has been a demoralization in society. I want to see a better government, and a better society.”
