Randy Lee Gooch passed away on March 20, 2022 in Frisco, Texas. Randy was born on December 3, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio to Wayne H. and Beth (Jackereas) Gooch.

Randy was raised in Wintersville, Ohio and graduated from Wintersville High and later attended various schools pursing an engineering degree. Randy was a Draftsman and enjoyed raising horses, riding motorcycles and dog walking. He loved his DiCarlo’s pizza and could hear him saying…“Now, why in the world would anyone do that?”

Randy has departed. His time of suffering has ended. We will miss him terribly. However, this world, the grave, is not the end of Randy. Randy found a life changing relationship in God through receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Since then and during this trying time, Randy’s ultimate reliance and hope did not rest on the frail and passing things of this world but rests solidly on the One True God, Who promised, “All who call upon Me, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

At this time, we do experience sorrow in missing Randy, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We are assured Randy has been lifted into a fullness of life that our minds cannot comprehend. So again, we have these unshakable promises of an eternal destiny where God will wipe away every tear from our eyes: and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)

So it is with sadness that we bid our son, our brother, our friend, farewell for now but knowing that we will see him again. God bless you Randy. We love you and cherish our memories of you.

Everyone will face the time when we pass from this world and be called to account. We are all racing toward eternity at the rate of 60 minutes per hour. Randy would have wanted all his family and friends to know the same hope, peace, and love of God, he found in the Savior. God has promised a more than wonderful future, past this life, for anyone who calls upon Him!

“All our life in this world has only been the cover and title page; now at last…..we are beginning Chapter One of the Great Story, which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.” (CS Lewis)

Randy is survived by his mother, Beth Jackereas (Wintersville, Ohio); his siblings Denny Gooch and wife Marge Gooch (Dade City, Florida) Bob Gooch and wife Becky Gooch (Wintersville, Ohio) Terry Gooch and wife Yolanda Gooch (Little Elm, Texas) Kathy Arnoto and husband Fred Arnoto (Ravenna, Ohio) Rick Gooch and wife Beth Gooch (Grove City, Ohio) Kim Ammerman and husband Ray Ammerman (Williamsville, NY) and Scott Gooch (Hilliard, Ohio); and his best friends, Al & Diane Smith.

Randy was preceded in death by his wife Joan Donaldson; father Wayne H. Gooch; his grandparents Margret Jackereas, Anthony “Jack” Jackereas, Chalmer Gooch and Maude Phillips.
