Donna Burnham Obituary (1942 – 2022) – Columbus, OH

Donna Delores (Spindler) Burnham passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022 and is now with her beloved husband, Bruce Alanson Burnham, once again. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Donald Jacob and Teresa June Spindler, and Grandson Bryce Alanson Burnham. Donna is survived by her sons, Bryan Burnham (Hila, Henna), Miranda Sharp (Mahlynn, Byron), Benjamin Burnham, Larissa Yashchuk (Bella and Jack Freeh). Donna was born in Marietta, Ohio and was a proud graduate of both Marietta High School and Marietta College, as well as a graduate of The Ohio State University. She was a Home Economics Teacher at Hamilton Township High School and was proud to call herself a “Home Economist” until the very end. This was very much up for debate for her family. After leaving teaching, Donna was a real estate agent for decades, ultimately creating her own successful Brokerage with her husband – Burnham Real Estate, which she ran until 2016. Donna loved Marietta and enjoyed making the drive as often as possible in her Volkswagen Eurovan with the personalized license plates of “BYREFER”. She swore it was for “By Referral” but, we all know the truth. She always loved attending festivals and fairs throughout Ohio, but especially loved the Sternwheeler Festival in Marietta and the Ohio State Fair, where she would load up on all the vendors giveaways. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends as well as nature and left a plethora of pictures for her family to cherish. Thank you to the Ohio Health Hospice Team and the Kobacker House for the care and compassion provided. A very special thank you to Pete Cobraiti for the continued exceptional care, support and friendship shown for the past five and a half years. An informal gathering will be held at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL located at 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221 on Monday, April 4, 2022 between the hours of 4 and 7 P.M.
